Prolific writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.

A representative for the firm stated: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the move was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding claims about questionable actions directed at women.

The firm has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."

A Highly Successful Publishing History

Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in 55 languages.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.

A number of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.

His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works in total, which features a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.

Television and Literature

His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
