Patrick Bamford Joins the Blades Despite Initiating Derogatory Songs About Manager Wilder

Patrick Bamford has joined the Championship side only half a year after instigating disrespectful chants targeting their manager, Wilder.

This experienced forward, a free agent since leaving Leeds, has put pen to paper on a contract joining the Championship club in difficulty until January. His lengthy time at Elland Road finished by mutual consent this past summer.

One of Bamford’s final notable acts as a Leeds player was to lead insulting songs about Chris Wilder during the club’s success festivities in April. Currently, the former England player will feature for Wilder as Sheffield United's boss aims to pull his beloved club away from the bottom places.

Past Conflict Involving the Striker and Wilder

The pair had previous conflict prior to Leeds earned promotion back to the top flight the previous campaign while Sheffield United lost the promotion decider by Sunderland. Reconciliation and Looking Ahead

Everything appears has been resolved with Sheffield United, the league's least productive attack, in desperate need of a boost up front and Bamford aiming to resurrect his career.

The song about Wilder gained traction this spring. An apologetic Patrick along with Leeds boss, Daniel Farke, phoned the Sheffield United manager the next day.

Chris Wilder said back then: “Had a conversation with Pat yesterday and I have no issue at all with that. I’m not sure about the words used from a fellow professional! However I appreciated and respected him giving me a call.

“We had 20 minutes and the same again I talked with Daniel Farke too and we had a half-hour chat with him and he is a super guy, a top guy. Back in my playing days we would dish it out and accept it and that is an integral part of the game at every level, including a Sunday morning. I've got absolutely no issue. I am cool with it and I told him that to Patrick.”
