Trump's Family Member Seeks Professional Advice from Golf Legend Woods Before LPGA First Appearance

Emerging athlete preparing for major competition

The rising star boasts considerable online presence

Kai Trump can count on numerous well-known supporters when she starts her professional golf debut on Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, was granted a tournament invitation to participate at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.

Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, possesses several international courses and regularly plays against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we have competitive games," she mentioned.

She mentioned that Trump, who cannot attend, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."

"My grandpa essentially told me to play and enjoy myself," she added.

"From my perspective, he's just a regular grandfather. He won't be there this weekend. He's busy with presidential duties, making him somewhat preoccupied."

As an amateur, the golfer has competed in only three events this year and has position 461 in AJGA rankings.

But she can get advice from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with Vanessa.

"He is the top athlete in the world," the young golfer said.

"Furthermore, he's an even better individual. He told me to compete, enjoy myself, following whatever happens."

She'll challenge some of the biggest names in the sport at this tournament, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.

The LPGA stated that Kai's presence exposes the sport to different demographics, particularly among younger fans.

The young star boasts millions of followers and has started her own apparel and wellness company.

The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
